New head of knowledge and technology transfer

Beatrice Huber succeeds Béatrice Miller as head of knowledge and technology transfer of NRP 75 "Big Data".

The National Research Programme 75 "Big Data" investigates new methods of data analysis and concrete applications, on the one hand, and proposes solutions to ethical and legal questions arising in connection with Big Data, on the other. The projects have been running for almost two years now.

During this time, Béatrice Miller has ensured the transfer of knowledge within the framework of NRP 75. As she has decided to leave the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW), she is also standing down as head of KTT of NRP 75. Her successor is Beatrice Huber, Communications Manager at the SATW. After studying biochemistry at the University of Zurich and continuing her education in journalism, Beatrice Huber worked in various industrial companies and academic institutions as communications manager. She has been working for the SATW since 2011.

Beatrice Huber will continue the work initiated by Béatrice Miller. Her goals include sensitising the general public to the opportunities and risks of Big Data and promoting Big Data instruments together with stakeholders from both the public and the private sector.
